EXERCISE: “WILD-CAMP”
Friday 8th to Sunday 10th April 2011
Aim:
Spend a weekend in the Mountains around Glyntawe in the Brecon Beacons, taking all the kit for 2 nights of Wild Camping.

Planned routes:
Friday pm – move from ERV to Base Camp if weather and visibility ok. Otherwise pitch at ERV.

Planning Preparation and move to Campsite:
Monday to Thursday: Check kit list, purchase remaining kit, prep test and pack kit. Dan to contact campsite to check if open and advice of rough plan.
Thursday evening: Have all kit 100% ready to go on. Dan to program satnav with route to Campsite and Fuel up X1 and go food shopping with Andy. Also cook and prep any meals to be taken.
Friday 0800hrs: Dan: pack my kit in car.
Friday 1300hrs: Pick Andy up and load his kit.
Friday 1330 Leave for Campsite.
Route: 174 miles – 3 hours 24 mins.
ETA at Campsite: 17.30 (which should leave some time to move to Base Camp).
