A challenging walk in the Black Mountains but well worth the effort

Very nice campsite, smart washing block, with good showers and other facilities.

General Weather: Rain on the way over to Wales, dryish while putting the tent up. Dry for the rest of the weekend, Quite warm but windy if exposed Cold nights due to limited cloud cover.

Summary:
Friday – Drive down after work and pitch tent, very late
Saturday – long walk, drink in pub
Sunday – Returned home.

Very, very windy on the ridges. Dry, but needed layers for the wind

Notes: Planned walk from campsite in Glyntawe, came across poor path at end of route, made mistake of not walking along the ridge. Found good wild camp location - SN 831 218
